Here's a simple formula for getting a ballpark idea!
Your roof
will be classified as either walkable or nonwalkable.
The walkable
roof replacement will cost $1.30 per square foot.
The nonwalkable
roof replacement will cost $1.85 per square foot.
Your roof
area is usually 1/2 again larger than the area under roof.
Example: a 2000 square foot under roof would be about 3000
on roof.
So:
House square footage x 1.5 = Approximate size of roof.
Thus:
Approximate size of roof x either $1.30 or $1.85 depending
on your roof = approximate cost of roof replacement.
Example:
Using our example of an approximate 3000 square foot roof,
the cost would be 3000 x $1.30= $3,900.00 for a walkable roof.
